Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday imposed 10 yeas ban on the country’s umpire Nadir Shah after a detailed inquiry into allegation of corruption.
The BCB carried out the inquiry on the allegation imposed on Shah in India TV sting operation.
The investigation was conducted by a Special Committee which recently submitted its findings and recommendations to the BCB. Based on that report the BCB has decided to take the following measures that would come into effect immediately:
According to the BCB, Shah will not be eligible for any assignment under the jurisdiction of the BCB during the 10-year ban.
However, Umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid Saikat has been cleared of any form of misconduct.
