Washington: The United States on Thursday said that it will have reservations over the finalization of deal between Pakistan and Iran on gas pipeline project.
Giving a routine press briefing at the State Department, Victoria Nuland said that the gas project between Pakistan and Iran was the violation of United Nations (UN) sanctions on Iran over its nuclear programme.
The state department spokesman further said that the US was trying to solve the energy needs of Pakistan adding that a project to enhance electric facilities at Tarbela and Jamshoro dams were underway.
It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan has brushed aside the reservations of the US as its president said that other countries in the world had right to make contracts with Iran but why not Pakistan.
