Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain talking to media on Tuesday said that talks with Taliban were necessary to ensure peace in Pakistan.
The government should call All Parties’ Conference (APC) and take all stakeholders in confidence including Army, he said.
Iftikhar stressed that the talks were essential to eliminate terrorism and to restore lasting peace in the country.
He further said that Awami National Party (ANP) initiated the talks and convinced all parties for that. But the government should call APC so it can take responsibility of the talks.
We will take Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari in confidence as well in this regards, he added.
