Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Thursday strongly denied rumours about the postponement of elections in the country.
Speaking to media in a dinner given by federal minister Khurshid Shah, the prime minister said that the elections would be held at any cost in the country as the future of the country was related with the fair and free elections.
The prime minister further said that he had written letter to the opposition leader in National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to propose names for the interim prime minister.
He further said that he had started consultaions on the interim prime minister and the process would be completed as per law.
He further hoped that consensus would be built on the interim setup between the leader of the house and the opposition.
