Quetta blast is negligence of secret agencies: SC

Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan while hearing suo motu notice over the killing Hazara community’s killing has observed that apparently the incident was a result the negligence of secret agencies or they did not tipped off the police.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry began the hearing of a suo motu notice on Tuesday.

During the hearing, the deputy attorney general told the bench that the FIR of the blast had been registered, adding that the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi had accepted the responsibility.

The CJ remarked, “What is Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ)? Arrest it.” The CJ added that the operation cleanup should have been conducted against the LeJ.

The court has also summoned the defence and the interior secretaries.

The hearing of the case underway.
