Karachi: At least seven people were killed and three vehicles were torched in Karachi on Saturday night in the wake of Quetta blast that killed at least 79 and injured 180 others.
Incidents of aerial firing by frenzied people were also reported in Hyderabad.
According to police sources, tension prevailed in Malir, Ancholi, Rizvia and other parts of the port city as unknown armed people forced shopkeepers to shut down markets and shops.
Shops and businesses were also closed in Hyderabad after aerial firing by angry mob in Qasimabad and Latifabad areas.
Shia Ulema Council at Malir-15 area of Karachi staged a sit-in protest against the deadly incident.
Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen announced strike on Sunday in the business capital and other political parties also supported it.
