Abu Dhabi: The new recycling plant in Al Nahda, Dubai will soon be start working to recycle almost 6 million gallons of waste water per day to increase the recycled water in farming sector up to 10% in the area.
The recycling process will cut the usage of groundwater by agricultural and related sector which is about 72 percent of the total water consumption in the emirate.
According to Muhammad A Dawoud, the water resources advisor, Environment Quality Sector, at EAD has said that the emirates is currently using only five percent of the recycled water in farming and by establishing the new water recycling plant it would be increased up to ten percent.
