Wana: At least seven people have been killed and several others injured after a drone strike in South Waziristan, a Pakistan tribal area bordering Afghanistan.
According to sources, an unmanned plane fired three missiles on a house in Sararogha area of the South Waziristan, killing seven people and injuring several others.
“Fear prevailed in the area as more drones were flying in the air halting the rescuers to launch an operation to take out bodies from the debris of the destroyed house,” they added.
Drone attacks are frequent in the tribal area of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan due to the presence of al-Qaeda and Taliban associates. US has blamed that the highly sensitive attacks on the Nato and US facilities in Kabul were carried out by militant outfits hiding in these tribal areas.
