Karachi: Hamdard University launched MBA Finance and Islamic Banking programme in its Karachi campus.
A launching ceremony in this regard was organised, with State Bank of Pakistan Deputy Governor Kazi Abdul Muktadir being the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the institute’s efforts for promoting Islamic banking, saying the new programme would cater the growing need of the time.
Addressing the ceremony, the University Chancellor and Hamdard Foundation Pakistan President Sadia Rashid said Hamdard Laboratories was the pioneer in switching over to Islamic banking from conventional banking in the country.
She said she would continue supporting Islamic banking and wished for the development and progress of Islamic Banking System all over the country.
Vice Chancellor Prof Hakim Abdul Hannan said the the University was one of the fastest growing universities in the country which now is providing an opportunity to the experienced bankers and young students to take advantage of this innovative programme.
