Karachi: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday ordered authorities to form a commission for the distribution of funds for the heirs of Karachi’s Baldia factory fire victims.
Justice (retd) Rehmat Hussain Jaffri will head the commission which will assure just distribution of funds among the victims’ relatives.
The SHC also issued notices to Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and others yesterday for their alleged interference in the case.
At least 258 people were killed in September in one of the deadliest fires in Pakistan’s history.
