Karachi: The Sindh government on Friday lifted ban from pillion riding across Sindh including Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan. The mobile services have also been restored in the province after the rallies on Eid Millad-un-Nabi (S.AW) ended peacefully.
The ban on pillion riding was enforced from 8 am on Friday till 10 pm on Friday in seven cities across province including Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Hyderabad, Karachi, Khairpur, Nowsheroferoz, and Sukkur.
Pillion riding was banned on the direction of Sindh Home Ministry in order to avert any possible terror incident in the province.
Meanwhile, the cellular services were also suspended from 9 am till 9 pm in 55 cities and towns of the country including seven cities in Sindh province.
The mobile services were suspended in several parts of the country after Interior ministry directed Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to shut them as Rehman Malik had said that the SIMs used in the mobile phones were just like moving bombs.
