Islamabad: Pakistan’s Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has remarked that only democratic system will run in the country and there is no space for any other system.
The chief justice passed these remarks while hearing a case pertaining electoral reforms.
The CJ said that the system is being changed to stabilize the democracy, adding that all the reforms will be made gradually, The News Tribe Urdu reports.
He further remarked that democracy and democratic institutions have to be stronger to bring real change.
During the hearing, the bench headed by the CJ also sought government stand over terming the vote casting compulsory.
