Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party leader and Senator Faisal Raza Abdi has tendered his resignation as senator to PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Differences arose between the party leadership and the senator, when he heavily criticised the incumbent Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry for his alleged role in the graft case of his son Arsalan Iftikhar.
Faisal Raza Abidi was elected member of the senate from PPP in 2009. He also served as the Karachi division President of PPP but later resigned from his post.
However, according to the Secretary Senate, the resignation of Faisal Raza Abdi has not yet been submitted.
