Lahore: Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Leader Dr. Tahirul Qadri on Friday refused to postpone or call off long march towards Islamabad but said that he would continue to negotiate with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Pervez Elahi.
During a press briefing outside his residence in Lahore along with Chaudhry brothers, Qadri said that no one should take the impression that he had was willing to postpone or call off the long march from the current session of negotiations.
“Long march will not be called-off at any cost,” he said adding that he would present the charter of demand on Saturday (today).
Speaking on the occasion, the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the negotiations were moving in a positive direction and hopefully it would conclude with a good result.
Present on the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Pervez Elahi said, “We have the mandate from government allies to negotiate with Tahirul Qadri.”
