Quetta: At-least 13 people were killed and more than 50 others injured in a blast of loud intensity near Bacha Khan Chowk, Shahrah-e-Iqbal in Quetta.
The incident in a very populous marketplace of the city on Thursday caused stampede in the area. The blast was so loud that it was heard from a distance of several kilometers.
Rescue teams, FC and police teams have rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area as the bomb disposal unit has been called to check for other similar threats and clear the area.
The injured, including women and children, are being shifted to Civil Hospital.
Other damage
The blast has also caused damage to the nearby buildings.
