Islamabad: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday has decided not to participate in the long march of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Leader Dr. Tahirul Qadri and continue support for the democratic system in the country.
The decision was made in a meeting of PTI political strategic committee, chaired by its chairperson Imran Khan.
The committee agreed that no one would be allowed to derail the democracy and postpone elections in the country adding that if any attempt would be made then PTI would fight for the democratic system in the country.
The committee also decided to increase pressure on government for the appointment of unbiased interim government.
The PTI furthermore decided to strongly oppose the tax amnesty scheme, proposed by the current government in order to induct black money into the economy and said that if the government would try to make it a law then the party would move Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) against the law.
The party chief also criticized the proposed law and said that their party would not allow government to give the amnesty to the looters and corrupt people of the country.
