Islamabad: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has summoned the corps commander meeting on Friday (tomorrow) at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
According to sources, the meeting will discuss the security, law and order of the country while situation at Pak-Afghan border and door to door verification of voter lists in Karachi would also be discussed in the meeting.
The sources further said that the army chief would also take the participants into confidence on his meeting with Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin. G. Ibrahim while Election Commission (EC) request to provide security for the polls would also be considered.
