Islamabad: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority of Pakistan has announced comprehensive increase in the prices of gas, effective from midnight today.
The authority issued a notification on Monday, announcing that the tariff has been raised 6.1 percent MMBTU for all consumers. It also said that the move has been made in view of the policy guideline received by the federal petroleum ministry.
Elaborating, it said that the price has become 6 rupees, 14 paisa per 100 units, 12rs, 28ps per 300 units and 30rs, 69ps for more than 300 units for domestic consumers.
The price has been set at 36rs, 83ps for commercial consumers, 28rs, 23ps for the industries, 28rs, 30ps for power, Â 33rs, 97ps for CNG, 42rs, 97ps for cement and 7rs, 14ps per MMBTU for the fertilizer sector.
