Karachi: Defence and Clifton areas of the Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan, are experiencing a situation not less than a curfew with just hours remaining in the New Year eve.
Sea view has witnessed large crowds during special events in the city. People along with their families came to enjoy the events but this time the government had enforced special security measurement to avoid any gathering in the area.
According to The News Tribe correspondent, the police had placed barricades on the ways leading towards the sea view. The local resident are also facing difficulties in reaching their homes as police officials are not allowing anyone to enter the area without their national identity cards NICs.
Police officials said that the strict security measurements were taken in order to avoid any terror activity in one of the posh areas of the city, where several high profile officials reside.
Earlier, the government had also imposed ban on pillion riding and carrying weapons in the city for next three days. The authorities had also directed youngsters to avoid using motorbikes without silencers.
