Chennai: The first one day International match between Pakistan and India is likely to be affected due to heavy rainfall in Chennai, a city of India.
The first match of the three-match one day series will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, between the two arch rivals.
According to Indian meteorologists, the city is experiencing a drizzle which would continue on Sunday and Monday to affect the opener of the series.
Meanwhile, the press conference of the two captains, Mohammad Hafeez and M.S Dhoni, was also suspended due to the rainfall. Practice session of both the teams were also cancelled due to the presence of water in the out field.
Earlier, the Twenty20 series between the two long time rivals ended in a draw with Pakistan defeating India in the first match by five wickets and India beating Pakistan by 11 runs in a close fight in the second match of the T20 series.
