Doha: Pakistan beat Japan 5-3 in their last pool match of the 2012 Asian Hockey Champions Trophy at Doha‚ Qatar on Wednesday.
Out of five matches Pakistan played in all, they won three matches. They beat Oman 8-3 in their first match and China 5-2 in the second. They were held to a 3-3 draw by Malaysia yesterday.
Their only loss was against India on Monday, when they were beaten 2-1.
In another match played today, Malaysia beat India 5-3 but failed to qualify for the final.
Pakistan will face India in the final tomorrow (December 27, 2012).
