Peshawar: About 14 head-wardens of Bannu Jail have been sacked from their positions after a probe in the incident of insurgency into the prison in April this year.
A local news source confirmed the incident, adding that those sacked include senior superintendent of the jail.
The attack was carried out on April 14, 2012 during which 150 insurgents armed with rockets, grenades and guns had broken into the jail and held free nearly 400 inmates. The banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan had reportedly accepted responsibility of the attack.
