Islamabad: Ministry of petroleum and natural resources of Pakistan Monday sent a summary relating to CNG sector to the federal cabinet on Monday.
The ministry has suggested that the natural gas should be restricted to below 1000cc cars and only to public transport. It also said adopting the LPG system should be encouraged. It also disagreed with the proposed payment to the stations on under operating costs.
Meanwhile, Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association, Ghayas Paracha said Ogra and the petroleum ministry have made the matter worse, which is adding to the woes of the people. He reiterated that they are bearing 18.90 rupees loss on each per kg filling of CNG.
Notices issued
Sources said CNG stations countrywide have been sent notices by Ogra, seeking their complete record. The authority said it wants to conduct 100 percent audit of the stations through the move.
