Paris: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari reached Paris on Sunday to attend Malala conference of United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO), said officials.
“Zardari will also meet his French counterpart,” they added.
Earlier United Nation’s (UN) special envoy for global education and former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced appointment of Malala’s father Ziauddin Yousafzai as special UN adviser on Global Education.
Gordon further said that Malala would also take part in the UN program after recovery, said sources.
UN announced to observe Malala day every year on her birthday on July 24.
Gordon will announce “Malala Plan” in today’s conference to ensure school education for every girl in the world till 2015.
