Lahore: Pakistan’s premier domestic Twenty20 tournament is all set to stage yet another enthralling final at Lahore’s historical Gaddafi Stadium, expecting a full house to witness live action between Lahore Lions and Faisalabad Wolves on Sunday.
The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00pm PST (Pakistan Standard Time) and it will be telecast live on PTV Sports.
Both the teams have remain unbeaten in the Faysal Bank T20 Cup 2012, first captained by current Pakistan T20 captain Mohammad Hafeez and the other by current ODI captain Misbah ul Haq.
The champions of the Faisal Bank Twenty20 Cup will be given a hefty reward of Rs. 2 million. Lahore and Faisalabad have come out as the victors once each, the Wolves winning the inaugural championship in 2005 while the Lions clinching the trophy in 2010.
Star studded Lahore Lions have nine international cricketers including Nasir Jamshaid, Muhammad Hafeez, Ahmed Shahzad, Umar Akmal, Muhammad Yousaf, Kamran Akmal, Abdul Razzaq, Wahab Riaz and Aizaz Cheema.
Ahmed Shahzad will be on the limelight for Lions as he has scored a century in the tournament against Stags in the Semi final and is also the highest run getter in Faysal Bank T20 Cup
On the other hand, Faisalabad Wolves have experience in face of Misbah ul Haq, Naveed Latif, and Samiullah Niazi.
Star spinner Saeed ajmal will not be playing for Wolves as he has left to play Big Bash League in Australia representing Sydney Sixers Big Bash League in Australia. Young talent Ehsan Adil will try to overcome the absence of Ajmal.
