Vienna: A bus driver in the largest city and capital of Austria returned a bag having half million dollars to its owner.
Transport authority identified the driver as Wolfgang R who found a bag with 390,000 euros ($509700) in cash inside his bus when he was inspecting the vehicle. He handed over the money to Police in Vienna.
The police used a deposit slip to trace the owner, an elderly woman who had withdrawn her entire life savings. There was no word on whether the woman had given the honest driver a reward.
Eduard Winter who was the head of Vienna’s public transport company Wiener Linien said that we were proud to have such upstanding employees.
