Founded in 1964, the Management Association of Pakistan (MAP) is the apex not-for-profit management association of the country. Its mandate is to further management thought, practice and advocacy.
MAP has about 255 institutional and more than 505 individual members. MAP members contribute a significant portion of Pakistan’s GDP. The affairs of MAP are managed by an elected high-powered Executive Committee comprising of corporate entities and leading Business Institutions such as Pakistan Cables, Dawood Foundation, EBM, Attock Cement, Orient McCann, The Jang Group, IoBM, Sicpa Inks Pakistan, Century21, and KPMG – Taseer Hadi & Company.
MAP is committed to excellence in management through human capital development with an objective to bring Pakistan’s corporate sector at par with the global market. MAP is the member of Asian Association of Management Organizations (AAMO), which is a regional management organization of 17 member countries.
MAP has played an important role in creating awareness about the best management practices amongst companies in Pakistan. For this purpose MAP instituted its Corporate Excellence Award in 1982 which today is considered the ultimate accolade in the realm of corporate management. The Award seeks to recognize and reward the best managed companies in Pakistan.
