Karachi: Pakistan’s biotechnology sector has taken a giant’s leap as it signed accord with a Turkish company to establish first DNA lab at Dow University of Health Sciences here.
The agreement was inked at the Governor’s House on Tuesday, according to which Forensic People of Turkey will help set up the lab at the Ojha campus of the varsity.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishratul Ebad termed the MoU signing a milestone to ‘ascertain identities of criminals and sort out other matters’. He furthered that the lab would prove a ‘crucial aspect of e-policing system based on modern technology’.
