Karachi: The ongoing wave of killings and violence in the city claimed lives of five people on Tuesday.
Police official Rana Naveed confirmed the incident, saying four suspects are among the 14 people arrested for allegedly creating unrest in Karachi.
The fresh wave of violence that resumed in the city seven days ago has claimed lives of scores of people. Though Rangers are conducting targeted operation in the city, culprits are at large to threaten law and order in the hub of economic activities.
Two activists held
Two activists of the alleged banned outfit were held in the Azizabad area of Karachi. SP Police, Amir Farooqui said that four accomplices of the arrested managed to flee from the scene. On the other hand, intense firing in Hasan Square terrorized dwellers of the area.
