Karachi: Students participated in entry test on Sunday for the first ever session of Sindh Madrasatul Islam, which got charter of university this year.
Sindh assembly passed a bill on 22 December 2011 which was signed by Governer Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad on 16 February 2012 to give charter of university to Sindh Madrasatul Islam. It is the place where Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Pakistan national leader, got early education.
University Vice Chancellor (VC) Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh said Mohammad Ali Jinnah dreamed to make this institute a university.
In first phase, the university conducted entry test for admission in five faculties. Admission would be granted on total 150 seats in five faculties on merit.
