Islamabad: A policeman was killed and three others injured when car lifters opened fire on a police mobile in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, on Friday.
Police said that the lifters opened fire on the mobile near Karachi Company when the party chased their vehicle. Resultantly, four people including Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Police Riaz got injured.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to nearby hospital where Riaz succumbed to his wounds while a policeman and two businessmen are being treated in the hospital.
“We have arrested one culprit after an exchange of fire,” the police said.
