New Delhi: Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard has fallen and landed on her face near the Gandhi Memorial in New Delhi, but remained unhurt after the incident.
Laughing off the incident, she noted to a male journalist who asked her about it that he may not appreciate “the logistics” of wearing heels on grass, The Telegraph reported.
She said of the incident: “For men who get to wear flat shoes all day every day, if you wear a heel it can get embedded in soft grass. And then when you pull your foot out, the shoe doesn’t come – and then the rest of it is as you saw.”
