Peshawar: The funeral prayer of six frontier constabulary (FC) and policemen, who were killed in a militants attack, has been offered in Peshawar.
According to police, the militants attacked a check post on Kohat road in Matni, the outskirt of Peshawar, in wee hours on Monday. Resultantly, four FC and two policemen including Superintendent Police Rural Khursheed Khan were killed and 12 others injured.
Later, the militants also set the check-post on fire and fled the scene.
The funeral prayer of all the security men was offered in police lines on morning. Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti and senior police officials also attended the prayer.
