Nouakchott: Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, the president of Mauritania, has been taken to a military hospital in the capital Nouakchott after he was shot on Saturday.
The president was travelling by road when the incident occurred, a source at the presidency and two military sources told Reuters without giving further details.
