Microsoft is set to launch its Xbox Music service on October 26, 2012, around the same time as Windows 8, a report said.
The service will be available on Windows Phone, Windows 8, and Xbox 360, according to The Verge.
In the service, various subscriptions will be available alongside a free streaming service supported by ads.
Microsoft’s SkyDrive will be integrated in the service allowing users to store music and playlists in a cloud collection—available across multiple devices.
The software maker has plans to offer the service across various platforms but users will not get its apps immediately, the report said.
