Colombo: India restricted Pakistan to 128 in 19.4 overs in their crucial Super Eights match of the ICC World T20 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Pakistan lost their four top-order batsmen within 50 runs after opting to bat against India.
Balaji took three wickets for India and Ashwin and Yuvraj Singh took two wickets apiece.
Ashwin sent both Shoaib and Umar to pavilion who together added a 47-run stand to the total for the sixth wicket.
Earlier, Pakistan skipper Mohammad Hafeez won the toss and decided to bat first against arch-rivals India.
Virender Sehwag returned to the Indian team after missing last two matches against England and Australia.
Piyush Chawla and Harbhajan Singh were left out for today’s match.
There was no change in Pakistan team.
