New York: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the making of anti-Islam film that sparked violent protests across the world.
Addressing at PPP USA’s international convention, Bilawal said that Islam was a religion of peace and only the peaceful protestors against the film were true followers of the religion. He demanded the international community to take steps to stop these kinds of act.
He said that formation of the election commission was the biggest achievement of the government, adding that they were trying to provide rights to dual nationals at government level.
On Balochistan issue, the PPP chairman said, “People party believes in equal rights for the Baloch people.” He added that the government had taken historical steps to deal with the challenges in the province.
Bilawal said that the PPP believes in the independence of judiciary that was why they participated in the lawyers movement.
