Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Saturday met former Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal.
Speaking to media after the meeting, Imran Khan said that he expressed sympathy for people of Balochistan with Mr Mengal. Khan said that Pakistan should learn a lesson from the East Pakistan dismemberment.
He said that issue of Balochistan should be resolved politically as military solution was no solution to any problem. Khan added that the government was doing nothing in Balochistan and Karachi as FC and Rangers were operating in both the areas receptively. He said that time had come to build a new Pakistan , forgetting the past.
Imran Khan demanded that miseries of the Baloch should be addressed as justice was the only key to resolve the issue of Balochistan. He said that the PTI was only political party to hold a public gathering in Balochistan in the recent past.
Speaking on the occasion, estranged Baloch leader Attaullah Jan maintained his harsh tone while talking about the atrocities committed against the Baloch.
He said that the issue could not be resoled through seeking pardons or giving packages.
The former chief minister said that he had not come to Pakistan to bag packages or money for his people.” I have come only after seeing a ray of hope to resolve missing persons’ issue in the shape of Supreme Court hearing,” he noted.
Mengal said that Attorney General was acting like a lieutenant general in the court room.
He said that it was up to political parties of Punjab to cut the claws of the monster haunting the Baloch, a reference which he makes to mention country’s spy services.
He said that the people of Balochistan were not given share of their own resources.
The Baloch leader said that Imran Khan had supported his six-points prior to his meeting.
