Islamabad: Petrol and CNG prices are likely to be increased by Rs1.74 per litre and Rs1.55 per kg on September 24 to bring them in line with the international prices.
Government had increased the price of petrol Rs6.82 to Rs106.72 per litre last week.
This is the first time in the country’s history that the price of petrol would see an increase of Rs8 in a span of fifteen days.
Government has already received a summary of the expected prices by oil marketing companies.
The expected hike in other petroleum prices are as under:
hi-octane by Rs4.14 per litre, Hi-speed diesel by 19 paisa per litre, light diesel by Rs3.83 per litre and kerosene by Rs1.74 per litre.
