Karachi: A large of students, belonging to Islami Jamiat-e-Talba (IJT), an off shoot of right wing Jamat-e-Islami took out a rally against the anti-Islam film that mocks Islam.
The students clashed with police as they used tear gas and resorted to areal firing to bar them from proceeding towards the US consulate.
Several students were taken into custody as police succeeded in nabbing them as most of the students kept hurling stones towards the law enforcers and run into streets adjacent to MT Khan road where the US consulate is located.
The IJT members chanted slogans against the US and the government.
