Karachi: Minister for Commerce and Industry Rauf Siddiqui tendered his resignation on Friday over the fire that engulfed over 250 lives in Baldia Town factory.
Siddiqui has affiliation with the the Muttahida Qaumi Movement. He told media the decision was taken on the directives of his party.
Siddiqui said that he wanted a fair and transparent investigation to be carried out.
He had earlier said that the piece of land for the factory was allotted by his ministry but after that it became the responsibility of SITE.
