Rawalpindi: Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Monday in a unexpected move requested Taliban leader Mullah Omar to permit Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) for its Waziristan march.
Sheikh Rasheed, who also served former dictator Gen Pervez Musharaf until 2007, had been threatened to kill by Taliban after Lal Mosque incident due to his involvement in the issue.
The views were expressed by the AML leader after he join hands with PTI in a rally organised in Rawalpindi. PTI Chairman Imran Khan also participated in the rally.
PTI Chairman also demanded Taliban to join hands in order to return to peace and said that PTI will not change its decision of Waziristan march despite threats.
Imran further said that he was not afraid of any threats as there is specific time for the death of each person and none could avoid his death.
