Peshawar: Pakistan reopened Nato supplies into Afghanistan on Saturday from its northwestern border at Torkham, officials said.
Pakistan allowed 14 containers to cross into Afghanistan around two weeks after it temporarily stopped supplies on July 24 after a convoy of Nato trucks was attacked in Jamrud.
“The Nato supplies have been resumed from today and we sent 14 containers for international troops in Afghanistan,” a local administration official told AFP, declining to be named.
A local intelligence official also confirmed resumption of supplies and the departure of 14 Nato containers to Afghanistan, but another official said there were seven containers.
