Karachi: International Happiness Day will be observed on July 10 across the world including Pakistan.
On the occasion, various programmes will be held. Gallup’s Global Barometer on Happiness showed 31% of Russians were happy below global average of 40% while Fiji is atop where 85% of the populace was happy.
According to World Happiness Report Denmark, Finland  and Norway are most happiest nations in the world.
Happiness Index and percentage of happy people by occupational status shows that civil servants and Monks are the happiest occupations.
Meanwhile Index shows that “People who have been identified as happy by the GNH Index don’t necessarily have good education. Those who are educated to post-graduate level are a little bit higher, though a lack of formal education clearly goes with lower happiness.”
“When we decompose the GNH Index by gender we see that men are happier than women. 49% of men are happy, while only one-third of women are happy,” report indicated.
