Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday released the Capital Development Authority (CDA) director general (planning) Ghulam Sarwar Sandhu in contempt case and directed Chairman CDA to submit details of his assets by July 13.
The IHC judge Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, while initiating contempt of court proceedings against the CDA director general (planning), sent him to Adiala jail on Monday.
The court also asked the chairman to submit details of Sandhu’s Dubai visit.
On Monday, While initiating the contempt of court proceedings against CDA DG, the order said, “the act of Mr Sandhu is liable to punishment under section 5 (1) of the contempt of court ordinance 2003, for which formal proceedings are being ordered.”
The court directed the police officials to keep Sandhu at Adiala jail and produce before the court on Tuesday.
