Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Ifikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that appointment of key accused in National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) land scam case Ayaz Khan Niazi was illegal.
Heading the bench hearing the case of NICL scandal on Thursday, he noted that Niazi was illegible for the appointment .
Niazi is the key accused in a land fraud in Dubai property case of Rs 900 million.
Expressing his anger over federal trade secretary, CJP was of the view that the secretary should get registered the case against federal minister Amin Fahim.
There were charges of corruption on Amin Fahim and the secretary should lodge the FIR, he added.
On occasion, commission headed by Justice Ghulam Rabbani also tendered its sealed report over the scandal.
The next hearing of the case would be held on June 11.
