Peshawar: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Shafqat Mehmood on Thursday has denied party’s link with individuals collecting NICs from people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by telling them that the party will pay them when it comes into power.
In a press statement issued here on Thursday, Mehmood said that the party’s ongoing membership campaign is underway and does not involve collection of NICs or paying committing members if the party comes into power.
“Certain individuals are aware that the PTI and its chairman Imran Khan enjoys a good reputation nationwide and are using the same to exploit innocent people of the region,” he said.
Mahmood warned the people not to fall pray for such fraud as the PTI has no connection with such elements.
