Islamabad: The PPP-led government is expected to go ahead with further reshuffling in the Federal Cabinet as sources said that Minister for Defence Ahmed Mukhtar would likely be appointed as Minister for Water & Power.
The sources said that the decision in this regard was likely anytime soon as a reshuffle in the Fedral Cabinet was on cards.
Currently Naveed Qamar holds the office of Minister for Water & Power.
With election soon to be held in Pakistan, government is facing intense pressure from opposition parties and civil society regarding the long-hours of unannounced load-shedding in the country, especially in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhua and the decision which seemed to be a new tactic by government would likely slow down the criticism.
