AN Iranian TV has learned that a prosecutor’s office in Tehran looking into the Reuters case has now referred the indictment to a public and revolutionary court in Tehran.
In a February 16 report, Reuters claimed that “thousands of female ninjas train as Iran’s assassins.”
The Reuters report also accused the Iranian government of training hired killers, which the court will be addressing as well.
The news agency acted to correct the report several days after it was published. However, the report had already been used extensively by Western media to portray a negative image of Iran.
A number of Iranian martial arts students shown in the Reuters video clip filed a lawsuit against the news agency.
