Islamabad: As many as 24% of Pakistanis claim they do not use normal water supply for Drinking and fetch it from another source, while 76% claim that same source of water is used for drinking and other household usage, reveals a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan issued here on Monday.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Some people do not drink the water they use in their homes for other purposes whereas some people use the same water for every purpose. What is the norm at your home?” Responding to this, 24% claim that water for drinking purpose is taken from other sources whereas 76% claim that same source of water is used for drinking and other household usage.
